Washington, Illinois Milestone and Cake Smash Photographer
In today’s blog post, I wanted to explain the differences between a milestone and cake smash session, to help you decide which session is perfect for you!! This post will focus specifically on my milestone sessions. This does not mean you can’t book more often, as some parents book 3, 6, and 9 months as well. They grow so fast, and you will want to record all of these stages. A milestone session includes plain or solid backdrops, with the focus being on baby. I incorporate stage appropriate props to assist with sitting up if needed, and to add cute elements to the photos. You may change outfits in between backgrounds and I will use this time to capture adorable expressions from your baby. My current backdrop collection includes solid colors, light or dark woods, and my boho styled bedroom area. (Please note that the bedroom may not be available during the months that I am doing Christmas sessions, but you may request a holiday background during this time instead)!! You are always welcome to send me an example of something that you like. You may have a one year old, and prefer the simplicity of a milestone session instead of a cake smash, and that is absolutely fine with me, too!!
